Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our team at Hurricane Capital. As a Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of our multi-manager hedge fund platform. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within the hedge fund industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight:
- Help manage all aspects of financial control for Hurricane Capital, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data.
- Fund Accounting:
- Assist the fund accounting process, including the review and reconciliation of fund valuations, NAV calculations, and financial statements.
- Collaborate with external service providers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of fund administration services.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with the investment teams to provide insightful financial analysis and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA certification is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets, and investment products.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
